1. Proofreading – Proofreading is the final editing phase before the write-up is sent for publication or submission. Proofreading involves revisions (if required) on the following domains:
– Spelling errors
– Homophones – words which sound the same but are spelled differently
– Punctuation and quotations
- Missed words, especially prepositions or conjunctions (of, and, the)
- Redundant spaces between words
- Correct citation of any quotations
Proofreading is a phase which falls beyond the scope of technical editing. Hence,
proofreading does not call for critiquing or reviewing a written piece. In-depth editing has to be conducted before moving on to proofreading.
Proofreading provides the final polish to the manuscript. Following proofreading, the manuscript will be fully ready to send to publishing.

Minimum cost per document: $200
Proofreading services: to be discussed with the client after editing
Upon discussion between the client and editor, a specific editing focus may be determined, extra costs may apply
